Hi! I'm Shonya!
As a detailed-oriented accounting professional, I am dedicated to the businesses and individuals of my clientele. I continually educate myself for YOUR benefit. For over 30 years, beginning in 1985, I have been meeting the needs of each individual who put their trust in me. I started my journey in the accounting field as an assistant to an accounting/tax firm. I worked my way up to office manager with that firm. In July 2007, I opened my own firm, serving my local community. I now serve as a bookkeeper/tax preparer locally and virtually. I first got a certificate in tax preparation, then went on to get my certificate in bookkeeping. But I didn’t stop there! I got my Associates in Business Administration and later went on to study for Accountancy. Furthermore, I’m a member of AIPB, NSA, and NATP (of which I have served on the MS NATP Chapter board) and I humbly serve as secretary to my local church assembly. I believe in educating myself, by doing continuing education yearly so that I may better serve you! My firm is friendly and professional. As I tell my employees, “Let them hear your smile”.
I am from Marion County MS. I’m the spouse of the love of my life. We have 3 wonderful children (along with their awesome spouses) and 16 of the most precious grandchildren.
